A large oval of chestnut-brown agate, crossed by cream veins that spread like a starfish around a dark centre. A branch of gold-tone and silver-white leaves and buds curls across the top with a gold-tone beetle, a deep red oval and a small green round.
About 43.5 g for the piece, roughly the weight of 7½ US quarters.

Caring for this piece
- It has a coloured finish over silver: never use silver dip or a polishing cloth, which can wear the finish away. Warm soapy water and a soft brush only.
- Put it on last, after perfume and hairspray, and take it off first. Store it lying flat so the bail and chain don't kink.
- Skip ultrasonic cleaners and steam: stone-set clusters are safest with warm soapy water, a soft brush and a thorough dry.
